We are the British Geological Survey (BGS). The nation's principal supplier of objective, impartial and up-to-date geological expertise and information for decision making for governmental, commercial and individual users.
We carry out research in strategically important areas including energy and natural resources, vulnerability to environmental change and hazards, and Earth System Science, often in collaboration with the national and international scientific academic community. In this way we maintain and develop understanding of earth sciences to improve policy-making, enhance national wealth and reduce risk.

BGS Data Products: Exploring GeoCoast data
Very nice and informative
Yeah, fascinating as hell.
I'm convinced that the small quartz and agate are predominantly teeth and I am pursuing more information. I believe that it's quite possible that the two quarts pebbles you held were possibly also teeth.
Crinoid are the ones with holes, it was my first collection.

Good evening my name is Aubrey Norkee from South Africa I found a significant pic of rock with a printed piece of Africa on it done by Mother weather how can I send pictures to you
HOW WOULD I GET INTO GEOMAGNETISM? Currently working as a surveyor, and i would like to make the change into studying the Earth!!!
i'm looking for geologists to run for election.
Great explaination
Very well done.

Such a hot girl
Sounds about right
amersyth purple quartz which is a gemstone
What is a Herkelmier diamond ?
In America we have places where you can go and buy some time and theees a mine they dig up or dig out place you can go mine there for a few the mine is own so your buying them but your also buying time spent looking for and adding to your tine vacation and collect
Hello tank you for video! Can you tell me? How I study PHD specially geology in England
These lectures are unwatchable with ads
I love 'fossil' fuels but this was a Brilliant, short explanation of carbon capture and storage!!!!
I live in Amersham Chiltern Hills. If you dig down anyway about 1 cm can you find pebbles and sand as far as the eye can see that seems to go down quite far. So how on earth did the middle of England be made up of pebbles and sand. Personally my own theory is there has been many great resets and every now and then the world gets turned upside down and we’re not talking slowly. But then again I know nothing just guessing that’s why I’m watching this to learn.
Thank you for this video! My six year old daughter spent a very happy afternoon collecting pebbles on the beach yesterday, and we have spent an equally satisfying morning watching your talk and trying to identify them!
Like what comes out your mouth.gas gas gas
Its a mudfossil mate
LIAR !!!!!!
PHD??? PERFECTLY HAPPY DELUDED !!!
Coz that's wot they are. NUCLEOPHILIC SUBSTITUTION/INVASION, LOOK UP WOT IT MEANS, before u start misleading people. Its biology !!!
WHAT ABOUT BIOLOGY???
Sir please be my guest when ever you plan to visit Himalaya subduction zone. I am from kullu valley, India.. And rock hounder and insetu gem digger
I am mining engineer ... Is there any job opportunity in mines in Ireland

GW preservation needed due to the change in quality from climatic changes. GW quality may be from: Control the the domestics Sewage dumping in the septic tanks but not be wasted on the ground surface and kitchen garbage be handled by the local government authorities to the dumping site safely. □ don t use the chemical fertilisers and use only organic pest (integrated pest management-IPM). We may add: Make recharge ponds for rain water harvesting. Make drip irrigation and some specific as sprinkle irrigation system with loops. Big field irrigation with BURIED PIPE and Alfa-alfa valves as outlets with VARIOUS loops for better GW utilisation.
Love listening to your talks thank you 🦪
Ps can you get opalised flint?? 🤔
I discovered a 10 inch bellamite fossil on the beach, however it turned out to be a severn trent discharge. Can the water companies help geological discovery?

Valuable information. Thank you.
When is a pebble no longer a pebble and matures thus becoming a stone and whatever is the difference a stone and a rock.. wait I can just Google that ..
It becomes a stone at 14 lbs. I guess before that it is a rock.
Hi , I found a pebble on a beach in Cornwall and it looks unusual can you help ? - it has a hole in it and it’s looks like it’s been carved and shaped .
Its hole was probably made by a clam or crustacean several millions of years ago
@@HighExplosiveDualPurpose40mm it’s the carving in it which is also very interesting - do you know anyone in Cornwall I could get to take a look ?
Wise words my friend!
Excellent video thank you!
Rocks Rock lol
looks mostly phreatic, so really just the reaction of water meeting something very hot, not any material being ejected.
I'm watching from Turkey. I don't know English. I watch with Turkish subtitles. Thank you for having Turkish subtitles active.
But the ground water that flows slowly undermind the earth all together makes the river but it have to get certain air particle like a stone like thing so this water have to be flowing in certain grounds to filter the water
Very intrested I I now known how the river water develop
There was a 12ft giant found in an Mine in Antrim in the late 1872
Lies, Lies :ies
